Abstract :
A watermarking method based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) is presented for spectral images. After decomposing the spectral image with three-dimensional wavelet transform, we apply the SVD to each band of transformed spectral image, and embed the watermark by modifying the singular value. After modification the image is reconstructed, thus containing the watermark. The experiments indicate that the watermark is robust against the attacks, such as median filtering, mean filtering and 3D-SPIHT compression
