Abstract :
We propose two methods which represent various approaches for L/M-fold image resizing in the DCT domain and present an L/M-fold resizing method using lapped transforms. Among the lapped transforms, the LiftLT is selected, since it is one of lapped transforms with fast and VLSI-friendly implementations. The analysis and computer simulations show that the proposed method provides superior performance, both objectively and subjectively, as compared to the conventional conversion method in the DCT domain
