Abstract :
The PRC (phase rate of change) method of passive location is modeled and its algorithm and error analyses are shown in this paper, then, the paper introduces the recently developed unscented Kalman filter (UKF). What is more, the modified UKF in application to PRC is compared to the traditional extended Kalman filter (EKF). Computer Simulations show that the proposed method is indeed effective and the modified UKF is much more stable than the EKF, the results of modified UKF are better than the EKF. The location error of the modified UKF is lower than the EKF
