Abstract :
In this paper, we present two efficient cyclicity restoration (CR) schemes for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems to combat intersymbol interference (ISI) and intercarrier interference (ICI) when the channel impulse response is longer than cyclic prefix (CP). First, we introduce a parallel scheme using the tentative signals generated in time domain, which provides low computational complexity for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. Additionally, a successive scheme is investigated to improve the performance of the proposed parallel scheme without increasing the computational cost. Simulations show that the proposed schemes offer approximately the same bit error rate (BER) performance as conventional CR method
