Abstract :
Worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) technology based on 802.16 standard support data transmission and high frequency efficiency. The realization of WiMAX system is not very complicate and it will become one of the most competitive technologies in broadband wireless access systems. To counter the problem of too high PAPR in WiMAX system, this paper introduces a method of clipping and filtering to reduce the value of peak-to-average power ratio, which use CORDIC algorithm to calculate the magnitude of OFDM signal from the point of view of hardware realization. The test results indicated that this method of reducing value of PAPR has simple structure and good performance
