  • Abstract
Optical multicast technology refers to directly supporting of point to multipoint connection at optical layer by employing optical passive devices to assign an input optical signal to different output ports. Optical multicast will enable a broad set of applications and will open new directions for network design. In this paper, we design a monitor system based on partial multicast architecture which supporting 64times64 switching, and 8 among all output ports are multicast ports. The system can monitor a set of 64 ports or 64 channels of optical fiber transmission system
