Abstract

We report here recent results of a study on business modeling method conducted for the purpose of offering a convenient tool for engineers and researchers which would enhance corporate value from R&D outputs. "Japanese lost decade" has forced companies to change R&D management and R&D operation style. We propose the remodeling method to evaluate and improve business models of R&D outputs. We applied this method to several cases in the real world to show its effectiveness. This study represents the result of over three years (fall 2002) of work with this method, done by a group of researchers from JATES (Japan Techno-Economics Society)
