Abstract :
Max-product exponential approximation operators are introduced and studied. The results show that the usual addition and multiplication used exclusively in approximation theory can be substituted by operations that are provided by fuzzy logic or pseudo-analysis. Jackson-type error estimates are obtained together with Weierstrass-type approximation theorem. Some numerical results are also presented and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed method with respect to the corresponding classical approximation operators
