Abstract :
This paper presents an integrated data envelopment analysis (DEA) model for assessment and ranking of wireless communication sectors based on standard indicators as defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The model is verified and validated by principal component analysis (PCA) and Spearman correlation technique. 17 various standard indicators pertaining to wireless communication sector were identified from the ITU database. Wireless communication is extensively used in industrial zones for various internetworking purposes, it is necessary to find out managerial efficiency in order to find out ways in which the sector can be strengthened and made more common for use. To present the usability of the model, data for 42 countries with respect to 3 inputs & 5 outputs was collected through ITU. The results show weak and strong points of each country identifying, inputs or outputs having major impact on performance. This is the first study to present an integrated standard model for performance analysis of wireless communication sectors
