Abstract :
A multicast service network offering QoS for its heterogeneous receiver is taken care by adopting DiffServ framework. In such a network, the network traffic would increase with new receivers joining dynamically without any new senders added. This would affect the QoS of the existing traffic in the network. For this, we propose to integrate a probe based endpoint admission control algorithm along with DiffServ enabled multicast service network. The proposed admission control work with inter-packet delay variation as the admission decision criteria. It is found to offer a better and proportional QoS to the receivers joining the multicast service
