Abstract :
This paper presents a self-designed metadata model to an interactive push service in digital TV, where the service can not only diversify existing types of broadcast programs, but also provide personalized application for consumers. In order to realize it, a metadata model is created by extracting and combining certain parts of various metadata standards, such as MPEG-21 standard to define model structure, MPEG-7 standard to define content descriptions, and DVB/MHP standard to define services relationship with corresponding programs. In addition, a private metadata is applied to achieve interaction between service providers and consumers. The experiments conducted on service providers and terminals environment demonstrate the functionality of our model
