Abstract :
The shape feature of stereo bare footprints, with the ability to reflect human physical and behavior features with uniqueness, has been applied successfully in forensic cases. This paper proposes a method for characterizing the associated distribution of Gauss curvatures and normal vectors of the curved surface, which reflects the bending strain and the change tendency of the curved surface. The difference between the associated distributions is used for determining the comparability between two curved surfaces. The experiments indicate that our method is valid
