Abstract :
Many authors have dealt with the theoretical and experimental investigation of waveguide junction Y- circulators. Exact field theory treatments were introduced for circulators with more or less complicated material inserts /1,2,4/. For broadband applications, the partial height ferrite circulator is widely used and was investigated by several authors /4,5,6/. Using the mode matching technique, the entire field theoretical problem is solved. High accuracy between theory and experiment is achieved. The relative bandwidth for the calculated and measured circulator are 29% and 31.6%, respectively.
