Abstract
The HARP experiment was performed for a systematic and precise study of the hadron production by proton and pion beams of momenta between 1.5 and 15 GeV/c interacting with different targets. The details of HARP Geant4 Monte Carlo simulated detector response are discussed. The first results of the measurement of double differential hadronic cross sections are presented and the comparisons between the data and Geant4 model predictions are shown.
