Abstract :
Pulsed electric strength of centimeter vacuum gaps at microsecond duration is considered. Experimental results received for oblique-angled wave of voltage in electric fields of different degree of heterogeneity are resulted in the conditions of uniform field and rectangular pulse with duration of tp = 0.5 mus. The electric strength makes up 3.5-107 V/m for the oblique-angled wave and 2.5-107 V/m for the rectangular pulse. In uniform field, the breakdown voltage increases linearly with gap distance growth and amounts for d=20 cm to 7 MV for the oblique-angled wave and to 5 MV for the rectangular pulse
