Abstract :
Wireless Mobile ad hoc network (WMANET) is a group of an independent wireless (Mobile/Semi Mobile) nodes communicating on a peer-to-peer basis with no pre established infrastructure. In order to define the WMANET as a whole object with clear syntax and semantics to be fit in any wireless environment, when it is needed, and to achieve any type of services demanded by the user, we need to define an Architectural Framework for WMANET. This paper will propose an Architectural Framework for WMANET that will help in applying WMANET in different network environments such as: cellular systems, smart homes, smart offices, etc. Additionally this architecture will present a full description for WMANET with all its components. This description will help in better understanding of WMANET, therefore the current challenges that faces WMANET such as: routing, security, scalability, and QoS, etc. can be easily located and their solution can be realized.
