Abstract :
This paper presents early results of an investigation into the fabrication of a textile E-shaped patch antenna suitable for broadband communications in the ISM band (2.4 GHz - 2.5 GHz). The design was inspired from literature and further tuned using in-house FDTD software. The textile antenna compares reasonably well with the same antenna in conventional technology featuring 17% bandwidth with a centre frequency of 2.4 GHz and good radiation patterns.
