Abstract
This paper acts as the introduction to the Special Session "Circuits for Satellite Navigation Receivers" at ISCAS 2007. It summarises the challenges faced by circuit designers when trying to exploit the new signals available from GPS, Glonass and Galileo. These challenges occur from end to end of the receiver - from the antenna to the positioning software.
