Abstract
A method for designing low delay perfect reconstruction transmultiplexer (PR-TMUX) with coefficients in low dynamical range is presented in this paper. The design of PR-TMUX can be formulated as a factorization, which is based on an improvement of lifting scheme proposed by author for a nearly PR-CMFB. The factorization procedure is described as multi-ramose tree-structure. A heuristic-searching algorithm based on this structure was proposed to find the coefficients filter banks with low dynamical range. The given example shows the proposed method is effective.
