Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new Rank One Chaos (ROC) circuit that generates chaotic signals based on a recent mathematical theory of rank one maps. This circuit is obtained by adding a periodically controlled switch to the so-called MLC (Murali-Lakshmanan-Chua) circuit to modulate one of the state variables of the system. The existence of ROC is proved by following a recipe-like procedure to accurately determine the circuit parameters step-by-step. The results of numerical simulations are presented to verify the circuit theory and design method.
