Abstract
Transform domain information hiding has been an important field for several years. Recent parameterized methods have been introduced to expand the available key-space for information hiding techniques. This paper introduces and defines Visually Similar Wavelet systems. Visually Similar Wavelet systems are those pairs or sets of wavelets that preserve visually pleasing aspects of an image. The application of these techniques is discussed in the context of two different information hiding fields, watermarking and steganography. An example is presented illustrating the use in fragile watermarking.
