Abstract
This scenario deployment demonstrates how an application can be distributed across multiple decisions using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology. This scenario is typical of society-based applications that are either hosted externally by the repository safety assessment and the hosting facility that requires a secure zone between its radioactive waste repository. Radioactive waste repository is a necessity for Taiwan. Taiwanese expert analysis was conducted of different strategic courses of action concerning the whole possible ways. AHP method makes it possible to evaluate several strategies and to synthesize qualitative and quantitative factors in the decision-making process. Based on the study it has been possible to draw perspectives concerning the most recommendable strategic course for the Taiwanese radwaste repository site selection. Scenario analysis for repository safety assessment blends information on site and radioactive waste characteristics, established understanding of processes, and subjective views of appropriately experienced scientists and others. It provide an important area of communication between repository developers and regulators, and others with an interest in repository safety. There is clearly scope for decision-makers to have some degree of consensus about the sitting selection and how best to evaluate their consequences.
