Abstract :
In this paper, we give a new reduced-order adaptive control scheme to the issue on control of large flexible space structures (LFSS), which combines the novel characteristic modeling technique and the novel characteristic poles assignment (CPA) control algorithm. Both theoretical analysis and computer simulation are given to demonstrate the satisfactory closed-loop performance and robust stability properties of the proposed scheme
