            Abstract : 
Excavator is a main equipment in coal mining. It is very complicated to control excavator. The parameters of coal excavator have great non-linearity (dead area, space and so on), time-variation and pure-delay time in the process of cutting along with the differences of traction speed, depth of cutting, and characteristics of coal and rock.Neural network have been widely studied and applied in various fields because of its great promising characteristics and properties. The approximation capacity and the learning adaptation make it powerful in the field of multivariable nonlinear system identification. The previewing control way was applied to the process of automatic height adjustment for the roller of coal excavator. The neural network was applied to identify the parameters of coal excavator. The control effect of simulation is better
