Abstract :
Advances in the design, realization, and investigation of the clinotron-based synthesized oscillators for THz-regions are considered. A high output power level, a fast frequency sweep, and a high frequency resolution are the characteristic features of the oscillators. The discussed synthesized oscillators benefit from advanced phase locking technique and an original high-voltage power supply. The corresponding technical solutions and test results are discussed in the paper.
