Abstract :
Measurements of the attenuation constant for the quasi-optical wave-guide designed and created on the basis of spherical lenses from dielectric-foam material is shown. The measurements were carried out in 3 mm range using polarization resonator. Results demonstrate that the specific losses of quasi-optical waveguide on the base of spherical lenses from dielectric-foam material are smaller in a few times than losses of standard metallic wave-guide. The small cross sizes of wave-guides (10 wavelengths), the offered type of quasi-optical wave-guides will be very perspective as the basis of input units for low-noise receiving systems of mm and sub-mm wavebands.
