Abstract :
Electrodynamics model of calculation of waveguide junctions with anisotropic filling have been developed. This model is intended to determine electric properties of crystalline dielectrics in the microwave region. The conditions, on which common wave equation for hybrid waves breaks up in two equations, were found. Their two solutions correspond to H- and E- modes. The SLAE for H-modes includes only component epsivz of dielectric permittivity tensor epsiv circ and that for E-modes includes components epsivx and epsivy. This allows one to determine the influence of each component of tensor epsiv circ on various modes separately. Using designed numerical algorithms and program software, the analysis has been carried out and the dependence of resonant frequencies on geometric size of structure and the filling material parameters, which are of practical interest (eigen H- and E- modes), have been received. Numerical data, owing to which the ends of waveguides are practically non-radiating, are shown. Obtained results allow us to use waveguide junctions for nondestructive measurement of characteristic of filling substances.
