Abstract :
This paper will propose a genetic algorithm (GA) approach as an analytical tool with a carefully defined fitness function as a variable selection algorithm. Discriminate analysis will be used as a parameter evaluation method for the analysis of inward foreign direct investment (FDI) in China. Results indicate that different industries various in determinants of FDI inflows. Each of them should develop their competitive attractive factors in attracting FDI inflows.
