Abstract :
We studied an electrodeless lamp driven by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) method and designed its driving circuit. Parameters to design a driving circuit were considered from magnetization inductance, output driving frequency and system performance. The dependency of ICP electrodeless gaseous discharge lamp corresponding to magnetization inductance and output driving frequency was investigated by changing the substance of ferrite, the number of inductive coil turns. Moreover we measured optical characteristics of electrodeless gaseous discharge lamp with variable gas pressure at operating conditions.
