Abstract :
The alternator for automobile often operates in a high temperature environment. It generates a lot of heat in the device due to the power dissipation. Under such high temperature, the reliability and durability of alternator are difficult to meet the strict requirements. In this research, from power loss and thermal analysis, different stator windings are designed to decrease the heat which been generated. By decreasing the accumulation of the heat and the thermal resistance of the conduction path, the performance of the alternator is improved.
