Abstract
This paper presents a newly developed magnetic powder core for a multi-polar synchronous generator. The magnetic characteristics of the magnetic powder core are greatly improved in comparison with the previously produced one. In addition, the multi-polar synchronous generator with molded-in magnetic powder stator is modeled in order to analyze the performance characteristics with the FEM analysis. The calculated results are also compared with the experimental results. Based on this result, we manufactured the 5 kW type multipolar synchronous generator with molded-in powder type stator.
