  • Abstract
Consideration of the structure and the operation principle of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM), it is possible to obtain super high speed drive. Therefore, we adapt 4/2SRM and examine the optimum design of 4/2SRM for super high speed drive and for the maximizing start torque. On this design, the outside diameter of stator, stack height of motor, and so on, are fixed parameters. This paper, we discuss the structure of 4/2SRM for the maximizing start torque using the two-dimensional finite element method (FEM) and simulate 4/2SRM for the maximizing start torque using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
