Abstract :
This paper shows two types of PM stepping Motor. Understanding of these two motors is obviously based on 3D problem because of the peculiar magnetic circuit. Most of all, the magnetic flux distribution must be defined in two different types of motors. Then, each structure of the motor can be used for a special purpose. To analyze these types of motor, 3-dimensional analysis is necessary for an accurate analysis due to the magnetizing component of the z-axis direction. The waveforms will be compared too.
