Abstract :
There is existence of four abnormal phenomena ((1) step-out phenomenon, (2) torque free phenomenon, (3) reversal phenomenon, (4) abnormal sound noise), proposed here in addition to the problem of a price and mass-production as a factor which obstructs utilization of an ultrasonic motor. If these abnormal phenomena are solvable, it is expectable also as a servo actuator besides the electronic autoparts of a car. Furthermore, I think that a wide range of applicable fields open. This paper is based on the joint research of ISEN (France) and the navy (France), and our university (KAIT). "ATILAreg" which is analysis simulation software, such as a piezo-electric element, was used in this case. Analysis of excitation and the action of a piezo-electric element and oscillating analysis of the bending wave traveling wave type ultrasonic motor were conducted. And operation characteristics and an oscillation characteristic were simulated. Thus, a cause investigation of an abnormal phenomenon ((1) step-out phenomenon, (2) torque free phenomenon) is tried.
