Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method of face image feature extraction, namely, the fuzzy inverse Fisher discriminant analysis (FIFDA) based on the inverse fisher discriminant criterion and fuzzy set theory. Experiments on the ORL and FERET face databases show that the new method outperforms the Fisherface and the inverse fisher discriminant analysis.
