Abstract :
The paper will provide the background ratinale for and description of a prototype Soft Factors Modelling Tool (SFMT) currently unde evaluation. It is in six parts; it begins with an introduction & some definitions of autonomy v automation: then goes on to discuss how Culture is viewed in the project and describe the various cultural attribute pairings selected for the prototype tool; it finishes with a brief explanation of the SFMT and the conclusions reached to date.
