Abstract :
Tyre pressure monitoring system [TPMS] and appropriate sensor concepts operating in the ISM-band at frequencies of 315 MHz and 434 MHz are discussed moderately in the literature. In contrast, the RF-modelling of the whole tyre guard system consisting of the sensor, rim and tyre has not been discussed yet. In this article, the measurement results as well as the modelling procedure for a tyre guard sensor on its own, sensor on the rim and with the tyre will be presented. The simulations have been made with the software package FEKO based on the method of moments (MOM).
