  • Abstract
    Four commercial phones of significantly different construction are used to investigate the effect of hand phantom on mobile phone antenna over-the-air (OTA) performance. The parameters of the hand phantom include homogeneity of hand phantom, material properties, size, size and positioning of wrist, grips, i.e. the positions of fingers and palm with respect to the phone. The simulation results show that the grip of hand phantom is the most important parameter regarding to antenna performance.
