Review of Small Antennas and Antennas for Mobile Systems in Memory of Professor J R James

Great foot-print left by Professor J R James in the field of antennas and electromagnetics can be traced back by a good many publications he contributed. Some of his significant publications are mentioned here to recall his great achievement. Printed antenna is one of his most important legacies. His work had inspired progress, development and applications of printed antennas in the fields of small antennas and mobile communications. In this aspect, this paper, dedicated to Jim, reviews modern small antennas and the latest antenna technologies for mobile systems.
