Abstract :
The increasing interest in MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) systems has given rise to a prolific research activity in this topic in recent years. In terms of antenna array design, a compact planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) has been implemented to work at three resonant frequencies for the GSM (1800 MHz), WLAN (2.4 GHz) and WLAN (5.2 GHz) bands, suitable for a PDA terminal. Moreover, a dual-band PIFA has been designed for the two WLAN bands and introduce in a laptop. The arrays have been simulated with a MIMO channel model and including MIMO algorithms such as Alamouti and V-BLAST schemes.
