Abstract :
Frequency selective surfaces (FSS) are proposed for the design of a broadband resonator antenna. Conducting element FSS presents negative reflection phase, this property of the surface allows obtaining subwavelength cavities. Once such a cavity is inserted in the traditional half wavelength resonator, bandwidth of the last one can be improved.
