  • Abstract
In this work, in order to increase the signal to interference ratio in the mobile communication networks, a method for introducing multiple nulls in the direction of the interferences while maintaining omni-directional coverage, is introduced. Cylindrical microstrip patch arrays are the most suitable to provide low-ripple omni-directional radiation pattern as well as null-steering potentials. The approach presented here is practical since microstrip patch arrays are low-profile, light, and well suited for integration with microwave integrated circuits. Moreover, our method benefits from low computational complexity. Presuming the directions of arrival of the multiple static interferences are known, a non-adaptive, i.e. batch, structure is utilized. The phase information of the desired radiation pattern of cylindrical microstrip patch is also incorporated into the synthesis formula.
