Abstract :
An iterative procedure based on the Gerchberg-Papoulis algorithm has been proposed for the reduction of truncation errors in planar near-field aperture antennas measurements. In this work, the convergence properties of this procedure are first thoroughly investigated and then a convergence criterion, allowing one to reliably determine a good termination point for the iterations, is proposed. A series of numerical results based on both calculated and measured near-field data is presented to support the theory and validate the effectiveness of the proposed convergence criterion.
