Abstract :
In a previous paper, a technique was proposed for reducing clutter in airborne radars equipped with active, electronically scanned array antennas. The technique was supported with data from flight trials which showed a marked reduction in clutter as the antenna was scanned in azimuth. An unexplained rise in clutter was observed as the antenna scanned beyond 30deg in azimuth and it was suspected that this was caused by the antenna´s interaction with the radome. This paper re-analyses the scenario using the SPIKE radome code.
