  • Abstract
    A new method to model the skew effect of rotor bars in induction motors is presented based on a 2D-winding function method (WFM). In the proposed method a new turn function for rotor bar is introduced. Simulation results and experimental tests prove the validity of proposed method. Proposed method is applied for rotor bar fault detection based on Park´s vectors approach.
