  • Abstract
The impact of distributed generation interconnection on reliability indices is analyzed in this paper. The reliability indices of sample network with re-closing, alternate feed, anti-islanding, intentional islanding are calculated respectively. Distributed generators often have a negative impact on reliability indices through re-closing failure, unintentional islanding and other improper strategies. The splitting islanding and self-startup islanding with auto re-closing can improve system reliability. The evaluation model of system reliability for dispersed generators interconnection and SAIFI-Island Curve are also derived. Impact of islanding on reliability indices can be observed obviously in island planning and splitting optimization through evaluation model and SAIFI-Island Curve.
