Abstract :
Limitations for the further enhancement of the gyrotron output power and efficiency imposed by gyrotron subsystems are investigated. Problems and advances of conventional, coaxial and quasi-optical gyrotrons are discussed. Ways for development of gyrotrons basing on the results of these analyses are shown.
