Abstract
We are developing submillimeter-wave imaging array using superconducting SIS photon detectors, under collaboration between NAOJ, RIKEN and NICT. We named the imaging array as superconductive imaging submillimeter-wave camera (SISCAM). In this paper optical design and cold readout electronics of SISCAM are discribed. Optical design is based on lens array with planar antenna for each detector pixel. A 1000-element array can be installed in a compact cryostat for astronomical observations. Detector array signal can be readout by using capacitive trans-impedance amplifiers and multiplexers made of GaAs-JFETs.
