Abstract :
We present ID electrooptical sampling of ultrashort THz pulses with a multichannel balanced detector. Together with lock-in technique, it combines the advantage of a high signal to noise ratio (SNR) with the fast acquisition time of multichannel detection. The THz beam is focussed to a line on the sample and imaged to a line at the electrootpical crystal again. The probe beam is also focussed to a line at the electrooptical crystal and imaged to the multichannel balanced detector.
