Abstract :
We have fabricated a coplanar strip-line on low-permittivity Turupica substrate and characterized the terahertz propagation property. The attenuation constant is about 0.5 mm4 at 1.5 THz and is lower than that of the state-of -the-art low-loss coplanar strip-lines with the same pattern on a fused silica substrate. We present a demonstration as a sensor chip working up to as high as 2.5 THz by measuring the finger print spectrum of D-biotin powder.
